Hello! Aren’t you glad that Fall is finally just around the corner? I know I am. New Fall yarns and patterns are arriving here at the store and making me want to start a million projects. I love this time of year!Before I tell you about all the new stuff, I want to let you know that regular store hours will resume September 1st. Christmas is on the way, and I want to give everyone more shopping time so that you can get started on those gift projects. Regular hours are 10AM-6PM Monday-Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday, 10AM-8PM Thursday, and closed on Sunday. Regular hours will remain in effect until next June-August when Summer hours will be back. I hope that’s not too confusing.  Oh, and the store will be closed Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.
OK, on to the new stuff!

All the new Classic Elite pattern books have arrived along with Fresco, which is their new 60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 10% angora yarn. It knits up to about 6.5 stitches per inch on US5 needles so it’s great for stranded colorwork or any pattern calling for sport weight yarn. There is a great hat pattern for this yarn in Jared Flood’s new Made In Brooklyn booklet, which is already almost sold out, but never fear there is a new shipment on the way
Minnow Knits patterns by Jill Eaton and her super soft superwash Minnow Merino yarn are also here. I really love this yarn, and the patterns come in a handy fold-out card so they fit easily in your bag.

Another new machine washable yarn we have is Universal Classic Shades. This worsted weight acrylic blend has a more subtle self stripe effect than the Classic Worsted LP and comes in some really pretty jewel tone colorways that you have to see in person.

Kertzer Marble Chunky has also arrived. This is a crazy fun bulky self striping yarn that comes in HUGE skeins. Seriously, 3-5 skeins does an adult size sweater, and 5 is enough for a good sized afghan. It arrived earlier this month and I’ve already re-ordered both the yarn and the easy Weekend Jacket pattern that came with it. More pattern booklets are on the way for afghans and other sweaters too.

More new Fall/Winter things are showing up every day, and I have to make room for them so the CLEARANCE section over by the wall of needles is bursting with cottons, soysilk, and other warm weather goodies at 30% down to more than 50% off, so come check that out. I’ll give you an extra 10% off if you buy all remaining stock of one color and remind me that I said so.
